About the game
Village Cricket Club Simulator is a game about running a village cricket club. You start as chairman of a brand-new club with a field, a grant and not a single paid-up member, and build it a weekend at a time.
What you do
- Set the subs, match fees and bar prices, and decide what to save and what to spend.
- Build the pavilion, the nets and the square, take on staff, and keep the ground in order.
- Pick how many sides to run, which leagues they play in and where they play.
- Keep the members, the captains and the bank happy. Results are up to the players.
Ways to play
- General simulator: no set goal. See how far the club can go.
- Challenges: a target to reach, from gentle to hard.
- Play with friends: start a league, invite your friends, and race them up a thirteen-division Saturday league, a season at a time.
About us
We made this game for anyone who has ever rolled a square on a Saturday morning, done the teas or counted the bar float. It is an independent game, and every pound in it is pretend.
A work of fiction
A work of fiction. Every club, league, ground, firm and person in the game is made up, and so are their names: any likeness to a real one is chance. The game has no connection with the England and Wales Cricket Board, the MCC, or any real league, club, ground or company.
