Privacy
This notice says what the game keeps, why, who can see it, and how to change or delete it.
The game is run by Village Cricket Club Simulator, the trading name of a sole trader based in England, which is responsible for your data (the “data controller”). Contact: [email protected]. Last updated: 30 October 2026.
If you play without an account
- Your clubs, your best results, the hints you’ve unlocked and the background you picked are saved in this browser only. Nothing is sent anywhere.
If you create an account
- Your sign-in: your email address (or your Google account) and a password, handled by Firebase Authentication, a Google service. The game never sees your password.
- Your name in the game, and that you said you’re 18 or over.
- Your clubs, saved to your account when you leave the game or press Save game, so you can play on any device; your best results; and which hints you’ve unlocked.
- What you share: your club’s card, leaderboard entries, comments, chat messages, friendly proposals, friends’ league entries, and anything you report.
- Message alerts: when you send another player something, the game notes your player ID and the time on their account, so their game can tell them straight away.
- Problem reports you send: what you write, the game’s version, where you were in the game, your screen size and your browser.
- All of this is kept in Google’s Firebase, which stores it for the game. Google may process it outside the UK, under its standard safeguards for international transfers.
Why the game uses it
- To run the game you signed up for: saving your clubs, the leaderboards, friendlies and friends’ leagues.
- To keep players safe and the game working: checking reports, removing content that breaks the rules, and fixing problems.
- The game doesn’t sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it (for example, reporting serious crimes to the police).
What other players can see
- Your name in the game, and your club’s card: its name, badge, ground, chairman, level, best facilities, sides and league positions. Never its money.
- If you enter a club in the leaderboards, its name, your name and its results there.
- If you choose to put your club on the map, a rough idea of where it is.
- Only your friends (players in the same friends’ league) can see your comments and chat with you. Messages are stored so the game can deliver them, so don’t put anything private in a chat.
- In a friends’ league, the other players see your club’s name, how far through the season you are, and its results.
How long it’s kept
- Everything is kept until you delete it, or delete your account. If the game ever closes, all of it will be deleted.
- This browser also keeps a copy of other clubs’ cards and players’ names, so the game opens faster. Signing out clears it.
Your choices and rights
- Take your club off the map or turn messages off in the map’s settings, hide the club on the Clubs board, or block another player from a chat.
- Delete your own comments and messages, or a club, at any time.
- Delete your account from Your account: it removes your sign-in, every club and everything you shared. How: villagecricketclubsimulator.com/delete-account.
- Report a message, comment or club name that breaks the rules. Reports are checked within 48 hours.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing [email protected]. If you’re unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Good to know
- Online play is for adults (18 and over).
- Cookies and storage: the game keeps your clubs, settings and sign-in in this browser’s storage. That’s needed for it to work, so it isn’t optional. The game itself does no tracking, and the typefaces are built in.
- Adverts: there are none in the game yet, but the website is set up for them with Google AdSense. Every page loads Google’s advert code, so your browser connects to Google, which sees your IP address and browser details, as with any website you visit. In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google’s consent message asks whether Google and its advertising partners may store and use information on your device for adverts: you can consent, not consent, or choose purpose by purpose under Manage options. If you don’t consent, any adverts shown will be limited ones that don’t use advert cookies. Elsewhere, Google may use advert cookies where the law there allows. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to show adverts based on your visits to this site and other sites, and Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners do so. You can turn off personalised adverts in Google’s Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie choices at the bottom of each page, or in the game: Privacy, then Cookie choices.
- Nothing in the game costs real money.
